    On the ship, collect your briefcase. This will give you the Letter from J. van der Berg.

    Pick up the Camera.

    Examine the Pistol by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and pressing X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.

    Use the Camera to take a picture of the trophy plate (a strange fish) on the wall.

    Examine the Flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
Tips
  • The ship serves as your first investigation location. Collecting all evidence here is not mandatory but rewards bonus XP.
  • The Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds are a DLC bonus. Use the initial clip sparingly.
  • Consider investing the free Skill Point from DLC into 'Absolute Clarity' for an XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (like the locker) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
  • Reloading your pistol is done by equipping it and pressing Square.
