Follow our detailed walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's 'Investigation Scene, Quid Pro Quo (3)' guide, covering all key evidence, objectives, and tips for success.
Walkthrough
- 1Collect Your Belongings: On the table in front of you are your key pieces of evidence: your belongings. You must collect these before the ship captain allows you to leave.
- 2Letter from J. van der Berg: Found within the briefcase.
- 3Camera: A usable item for taking pictures as evidence.
- 4Pistol: Pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Note: Your gun is not loaded initially; you must reload it using L1 to bring up the weapon wheel and then Square.
- 5Find Additional Evidence:
- 6Photo of a trophy plate: Use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall.
- 7Flyer: Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of where you collected your belongings.
- 8Lootables: Look for the lootable symbol (a chest icon) to find ammunition and crafting materials. These can be looted repeatedly by leaving and returning to the area.
- 9Optional Investigation - Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign pointing to the exit, then go left down a path and left towards the sea. This area contains optional evidence and rewards 140 XP.
- 10TITANIA: Inspect the Lifeboat Name.
- 11Diving Helmet: Rotate the helmet and examine the front faceplate. Be aware that prolonged examination drains sanity.
- 12Albert Throgmorton's will: Located on one of the lifeboat seats.
Tips

- Consider putting your free Skill Point (if applicable) into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- When speaking with Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton, select the dialogue options that advance the case to avoid missing information or dialogue branches.
- The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
