Complete guide for Reed Heights (Reed Heights South) (7) in The Sinking City 2, covering all key evidence, optional items, and walkthrough steps to progress.
Walkthrough
- 1On the 'Charon' Ship: Your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (L1 to bring up weapon wheel, Square to reload).
- 2Optional Evidence on Ship: Take a photo of the mounted fish with your camera (Additional Evidence). Examine the flyer on the desk (Additional Evidence). Search the locker to the right of the desk (Lootable).
- 3Exit the Ship and Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Climb onto the dock (Triangle). Choose dialogue options to advance: 'About my problem.', 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?', 'I need somewhere to stay.', 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?', 'Goodbye.' Be aware that selecting specific options closes off other dialogue branches.
- 4Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the bar/exit. Go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 5Optional: Investigate the Titania Lifeboat: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, return to the sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Collect Additional Evidence: Inspect the 'TITANIA' name, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate, be mindful of sanity drain), and pick up 'Albert Throgmorton's will' from a seat. Climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to access some items.
- 6Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- Collecting all evidence in a location rewards an additional 140 XP.
- If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use these sparingly as ammo is scarce.
- Consider putting a free Skill Point (if obtained from DLC) into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. They reset when you leave and return to the area.
- The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton, but is not required for case progression.
Additional XP for collecting all evidence in a location (up to 140 XP per location). Optional XP for clearing the Titania Lifeboat investigation site.
