Navigate Reed Heights South in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Discover key evidence, optional objectives, and tips for progressing through this challenging section of the game.
Walkthrough
- 1The "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings on the table (briefcase, camera, pistol). To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. The camera is a usable item for taking pictures as evidence.
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Photograph the mounted fish on the wall using your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Speak to Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle) and speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Choosing these specific options progresses the conversation and the game.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the exit and go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 6Speak to Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.".
- 7Optional: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is an optional investigation site that does not add to your casebook but grants extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 8Evidence in Lifeboat: Inspect the lifeboat name "TITANIA". Examine the "Diving Helmet" by rotating it and looking at the front faceplate. Find "Albert Throgmorton's will" on one of the seats. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect some evidence. Looking at the diving helmet for too long will drain your sanity.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun (if owned via DLC) uses bullets quickly; save its clip for special occasions.
- Consider putting a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
- The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but rewarding in terms of XP.
- Be mindful of your sanity when examining the diving helmet in the lifeboat.
