Discover how to unlock the Plague Doctor costume in The Sinking City 2. This guide details the steps and any requirements to obtain this unique cosmetic item.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon entering the city via the "Charon" ship, you are in your first investigation location. Collect evidence to progress.
- 2Key Evidence: Your belongings on the table (briefcase, Letter from J. van der Berg, Camera, Pistol). To collect the pistol, examine its handle until an eyeball symbol appears and press X. You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Additional Evidence: Take a photo of the fish trophy on the wall with your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 4Lootables: Search lockers and other lootable objects for ammunition and crafting materials. These reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- 5After collecting your belongings, exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (Triangle).
- 6You will automatically converse with Johannes van der Berg. Choose dialogue options to learn about the world. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye." Note that choosing "I need somewhere to stay" locks out some optional dialogue.
- 7Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the "exit."
- 8Climb the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 9To advance the game, select dialogue options such as "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going." Optional questions can be asked, but "I'll be going" ends the conversation.
- 10Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania
- 11Return to the sign and go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is optional and does not add to your casebook but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 12Optional Evidence:
- 13Inspect the "TITANIA" name on the Lifeboat.
- 14Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Be aware that looking at the helmet drains sanity.
- 15Find "Albert Throgmorton's will" on a seat inside the lifeboat. Climb inside (Triangle) to access some evidence.
- 16After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or its DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ACP rounds. Use these sparingly as ammo is scarce.
- If you received a free Skill Point from DLC, invest it in the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Reload your equipped gun by holding L1 to bring up the weapon wheel and pressing Square.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for resources.
- The Lifeboat Titania investigation site is optional but rewards XP and further dialogue.
