(MPE.MC3) Quid Pro Quo

Begin by collecting your belongings from the table. This includes your Pistol, Camera, and the Letter from J. van der Berg. To collect the pistol, examine its handle until an eyeball symbol appears and press X.

Use your camera to take a photo of the mounted fish on the wall (Additional Evidence).

Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Additional Evidence).

Loot the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials.

Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using the Triangle button.

Engage in a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To progress, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Be aware that choosing these options will lock out other conversational branches.

Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit.

Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.". Other dialogue options are optional.

(Optional) To investigate the lifeboat, return to the sign and go left down a path, then left towards the sea. Inspect the lifeboat's name "TITANIA".

(Optional) Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Be mindful of sanity drain.

(Optional) Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat. You may need to climb inside using Triangle.

(Optional) Return to Robert Throgmorton with the will to unlock an additional conversation.
