Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2, guiding you through evidence collection on the Charon ship and optional investigations.
Walkthrough
- 1On the Charon Ship: Collect key evidence: your belongings from the table (briefcase containing a Letter from J. van der Berg), the Camera, and the Pistol (examine the handle by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears, then press X). You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. You must reload your gun before firing.
- 2Optional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish trophy on the wall. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Exit the boat by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock. Engage in conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select: "About my problem." -> "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" -> "I need somewhere to stay." -> "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" -> "Goodbye."
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Go up the stairs to begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?" -> "Who are the Innsmouthers?" -> "What do you know about the visions?" -> "I can try to find Albert." -> "Tell me more about the case." -> "I'll be going."
- 6Optional: Titania Lifeboat Investigation: Return to the sign. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. Find the lifeboat beyond police barricades.
- 7Evidence in Lifeboat: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate. Examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate; be mindful of sanity drain). Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. You may need to press Triangle to climb inside.
- 8Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo quickly; save its initial clip.
- Consider putting a free Skill Point (if applicable via DLC) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be searched repeatedly and reset after leaving and returning to the area, providing ammunition and crafting materials.
- The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but grants extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Be cautious when examining the Diving Helmet in the lifeboat, as your sanity will drain over time.
