Navigate the Oakmont Police Department in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence, complete investigations, and uncover the truth. Your comprehensive walkthrough starts here.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin by collecting your belongings from the table, which includes your Letter from J. van der Berg and your Camera.
- 2Examine your Pistol by picking it up, rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and pressing X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Use your camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall for Additional Evidence.
- 4Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings for another piece of Additional Evidence.
- 5Loot the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized and can be re-looted after returning to the area.
- 6After collecting your belongings, you will automatically start a conversation with Johannes van der Berg when you climb onto the dock. Select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" and "Goodbye." to progress.
- 7Proceed north along the pier to find a sign with directions. Turn right towards the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 8To advance the game with Robert Throgmorton, select "What happened to your son?" "Who are the Innsmouthers?" "What do you know about the visions?" "I can try to follow Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going."
- 9To undertake the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation, return to the sign, go left down a path, and then left towards the sea.
- 10In the lifeboat, inspect the TITANIA name, examine the Diving Helmet (be mindful of sanity drain), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat.
- 11Returning Albert Throgmorton's will to Robert unlocks an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you purchased the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use its initial clip wisely as it consumes ammo quickly.
- Consider investing your first Skill Point into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
- The Lifeboat Titania investigation is optional but rewards extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Do not hold the diving helmet for too long during the optional investigation, as it drains your sanity.
