Navigate Grimhaven Bay Central in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Discover key evidence, optional investigations, and character interactions to progress.
Walkthrough
- 1Charon Ship Investigation:
- Collect Key Evidence: Your belongings on the table, including the Letter from J. van der Berg (from the briefcase), the Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle until an eyeball symbol appears and press X. You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Collect Additional Evidence: Take a photo of the trophy plate (fish on the wall) with your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized and reset upon re-entry.
- 4Casebook Task: Letter from J. van der Berg.
- 5Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (Triangle).
- 6Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: Choose "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye." Note that selecting "I need somewhere to stay" locks out other dialogue branches.
- 7Casebook Task: Find Robert Throgmorton.
- 8Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign.
- 9Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: To advance, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going." Other questions are optional.
- 10Titania Lifeboat (Optional Investigation):
- Return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 11Collect Additional Evidence: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and look at the faceplate), and take Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to access some items. Be aware that prolonged examination of the diving helmet drains sanity.
- 12This optional investigation provides 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use this ammo sparingly as it depletes quickly.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into Absolute Clarity for a 5% XP bonus.
- Reload your pistol by equipping it via the weapon wheel (L1) and pressing Square.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Higher quantities of loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
