Navigate the treacherous 'Boondocks' in The Sinking City 2 with AntMag's comprehensive walkthrough. Discover hidden clues, essential items, and overcome challenges.
Walkthrough
- 1On the "Charon" Ship: Collect your belongings (briefcase) to obtain the Letter from J. van der Berg. Pick up the Camera and the Pistol. For the Pistol, examine it by rotating until the 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and press X.
- 2Optional Evidence on Ship: Use the Camera to photograph the mounted fish (trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Exit the Ship: Climb onto the dock using Triangle.
- 5Speak with Johannes van der Berg: Engage in conversation. To advance, select: "About my problem." -> "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" -> "I need somewhere to stay." -> "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" -> "Goodbye." Note that choosing specific dialogue options locks out others.
- 6Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier, turn right at the sign pointing to the bar/exit, and go up the stairs.
- 7Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance, select: "What happened to your son?" -> "Who are the Innsmouthers?" -> "What do you know about the visions?" -> "I can try to find Albert." -> "Tell me more about the case." -> "I'll be going." Similar to van der Berg, dialogue choices are limited.
- 8Optional: Titania Lifeboat Investigation: Return to the sign, go left down a path, then left towards the sea. Find the lifeboat beyond police barricades.
- 9Evidence at Titania Lifeboat: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate. Examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate). Collect "Albert Throgmorton's will" from a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat using Triangle. Be cautious as prolonged examination of the diving helmet drains sanity.
- 10Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert to unlock an optional conversation.

- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Be aware that large amounts of loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
- Climbing to higher areas is done by pressing Triangle.
- Reloading your gun involves equipping it via the weapon wheel (hold L1) and pressing Square.
