Navigate Salvation Harbor West in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Find key evidence, complete optional tasks, and uncover the secrets of this challenging area.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    On the "Charon" Ship:
    • Collect Key Evidence: Your belongings (briefcase containing a Letter from J. van der Berg), Camera, and Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  2. 2
Collect Additional Evidence: Use the Camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized and reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
  4. 4
    Conversations:
    • Johannes van der Berg: After leaving the ship, you'll automatically speak with him. Key dialogue options to advance are "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye." Choosing these options closes off other dialogue branches.
  5. 5
Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. As you go up the stairs, you'll begin a conversation. Key dialogue options to advance are "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case." (Robert's Request), and "I'll be going." Choosing "I'll be going." ends the conversation and locks out further discussion.
  6. 6
    Titania Lifeboat (Optional Investigation):
    • Directions: Return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
  7. 7
Collect Additional Evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA." Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats. Note: Sanity drains while looking at the diving helmet; do not hold it for too long.
  8. 8
Reward: Completing this optional investigation grants an extra 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
Tips
  • The Submachine Gun (if owned via DLC) uses bullets quickly; save its initial clip.
  • The Absolute Clarity Mind skill (if obtained via DLC) provides a 5% XP bonus.
  • Reload your pistol by equipping it and pressing Square.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for materials and ammo. Be cautious, as large amounts of loot may indicate a dangerous area.
  • The Lifeboat Titania is an optional investigation location; its evidence is not required for the main case but provides XP and an extra conversation.
  • Completing the main tasks on the "Charon" ship and speaking with Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton progresses the main story.
  • Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation grants 140 bonus XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
