Walkthrough

    Upon exiting the ship, you'll need to climb onto the dock using the Triangle button.

    You will automatically start a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. Choose dialogue options to progress: "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" and finally "Goodbye." Note that selecting "I need somewhere to stay" closes off other dialogue branches.

    After saying goodbye, proceed north along the pier until you reach a sign with directions to a bar and an exit.

    Turn right at the sign and go up the stairs. This will trigger a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.

    During the conversation with Robert Throgmorton, select the following options to advance the game: "What happened to your son?" "Who are the Innsmouthers?" "What do you know about the visions?" "I can try to find Albert." "Tell me more about the case." and finally "I'll be going." Selecting "I'll be going" ends the conversation and locks out further dialogue.
Tips
  • Collecting all key evidence on the "Charon" ship before leaving grants an additional 140 XP.
  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or associated DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use these sparingly as ammo is scarce.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects marked with a specific symbol can be repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials. Be aware that areas with more loot may be more dangerous.
