Navigate Grimhaven Bay Central in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive walkthrough. Find key evidence, complete objectives, and uncover the mysteries of this new chapter.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The Charon Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings on the table (briefcase, camera, pistol). To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You'll receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (hold L1, select gun, press Square).
  2. 2
Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table.
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects provide ammunition and crafting materials and reset when you leave and return to the area.
  4. 4
Exit the Boat: Climb onto the dock to your right by pressing Triangle.
  5. 5
Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: After climbing onto the dock, you'll automatically speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select the following dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Be aware that choosing these options will lock out other conversational branches.
  6. 6
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier. Turn right at the sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Go up the stairs to begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  7. 7
Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Other dialogue options are optional.
  8. 8
Optional: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is an optional investigation that provides 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  9. 9
Evidence in Lifeboat: Inspect the lifeboat name "TITANIA". Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats. You may need to press Triangle to climb inside the lifeboat. Be cautious, as looking at the diving helmet for too long will drain your sanity.
Tips
  • If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use this sparingly as it consumes ammo quickly.
  • Consider putting a free Skill Point (if received via DLC) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammo and crafting materials. Areas with more loot may indicate higher danger.
  • The Lifeboat Titania is an optional investigation; you can skip it if desired.

Completing the main objectives in Grimhaven Bay Central progresses the story. Optional investigations yield additional XP and lore.
