Complete walkthrough for Grimhaven Bay Central in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence, complete optional investigations, and uncover the mysteries of the bay.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect the following key evidence: your belongings on the table (briefcase containing the Letter from J. van der Berg), the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Additional Evidence on the Ship: Use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Flyer).
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk for randomized ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable objects can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Casebook Task: Letter from J. van der Berg: Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (Triangle). Speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select the following dialogue options to advance: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that choosing optional dialogue branches will prevent you from hearing other conversation chains.
- 5Casebook Task: Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Climb the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select the following dialogue options to advance: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.".
- 6Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Collect the following additional evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name ('TITANIA'), examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and look at the front faceplate), and pick up Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Be cautious as looking at the diving helmet drains sanity.
- 7Robert's Request: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton and give him the will to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This weapon consumes ammunition quickly; save its initial clip for important moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects provide a renewable source of ammunition and crafting materials. Be aware that containers with more loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
- When examining the Diving Helmet in the Titania Lifeboat, do not hold it for too long to avoid excessive sanity drain.
