Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission, detailing key evidence, optional investigations, and NPC interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1The "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect your belongings from the table.
- 2Key Evidence:
- Briefcase: Contains the Letter from J. van der Berg.
- 3Camera: A usable item for taking pictures as evidence.
- 4Pistol: Pick it up, rotate it until the "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Note: Your gun is not loaded and must be reloaded (hold L1, select weapon, press Square).
- 5Additional Evidence:
- Photo of a trophy plate: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish on the wall.
- 6Flyer: Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 7Lootables: A locker to the right of the desk can be looted repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 8Speak with Johannes van der Berg: Exit the boat and climb onto the dock using Triangle. Engage in conversation. To advance, select: "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" and finally "Goodbye." Choosing other dialogue options will lock you out of them permanently.
- 9Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the bar and exit. Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select: "What happened to your son?" "Who are the Innsmouthers?" "What do you know about the visions?" "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and finally "I'll be going."
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat
- From the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- Additional Evidence:
- TITANIA: Inspect the Lifeboat Name.
- Diving Helmet: Rotate and examine the front faceplate. Be aware that looking at the helmet drains sanity.
- Albert Throgmorton's will: Located on one of the seats. Climb inside the lifeboat using Triangle to access.
- Finding Albert's Will unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
