Walkthrough
- 1On the "Charon" ship, collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle by rotating it until an "eyeball" symbol appears and pressing X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Use the camera to take a picture of the mounted fish on the wall (Additional Evidence).
- 3Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table (Additional Evidence).
- 4Loot the locker to the right of the desk.
- 5Exit the ship by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock.
- 6Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye."
- 7Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the "exit" and go up the stairs to speak with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and finally "I'll be going."
- 8To investigate the Titania Lifeboat (Optional): Return to the sign with directions. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 9Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA" (Additional Evidence).
- 10Examine the Diving Helmet. Rotate it and search the front faceplate. Be mindful of your sanity draining while examining it.
- 11Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats inside the lifeboat. You may need to climb inside by pressing Triangle.
- 12Return to Robert Throgmorton with the will to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Necronomicon Edition or associated DLC includes a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use these sparingly as ammunition is scarce.
- If you have a DLC Skill Point, consider investing it in the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials. They reset after leaving and returning to the area.
- The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but rewards 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
