Walkthrough for ADVENT (Advent Central) (6) in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence, complete optional tasks, and learn about NPC interactions.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, and the Camera. To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (hold L1 for weapon wheel, press Square).
  2. 2
Additional Evidence on Ship: Take a photo of the trophy plate (strange fish on the wall) using your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and provide ammunition and crafting materials. They reset after leaving and returning to the area.
  4. 4
Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle). Engage in conversation. To advance, select: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that choosing "I need somewhere to stay" locks out other dialogue branches.
  5. 5
Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. You will automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton as you go up the stairs.
  6. 6
Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: To advance, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". You can ask optional questions, but "I'll be going." ends the conversation.
  7. 7
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is optional but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  8. 8
Evidence at Titania Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA". Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate (be mindful of sanity drain). Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
  9. 9
Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use the initial clip sparingly as ammo is scarce.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly looted after returning to the area.
  • Be cautious with lootable containers that contain a large amount of materials, as they may indicate a dangerous area.
  • When examining the Diving Helmet at the Titania Lifeboat, do not hold it for too long to avoid sanity drain.
Collecting all key evidence on the ship grants an additional 140 XP. Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation also grants 140 XP.
