Follow our detailed walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's Pier N3 section, guiding you through evidence collection, NPC interactions, and optional objectives to progress.
Walkthrough
- 1On the "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To examine the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the Photo of a trophy plate (a strange fish on the wall) and examine the Flyer on the desk.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized and reset when you leave and return to the area.
- 4Speak with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle). Engage in conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Note that choosing certain dialogue options locks out others.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to an "exit." Go up the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 6Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going." Optional questions can be asked, but selecting "I'll be going" ends the conversation.
- 7Optional: Titania Lifeboat: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, return to the sign, go left down a path, and turn left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 8Evidence at Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name (TITANIA), examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate; beware of sanity drain), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
- 9Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun (Necronomicon Edition/DLC) is powerful but consumes ammo quickly; save its clip.
- Consider investing the free Skill Point (DLC) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammo and crafting materials. Areas with more loot may indicate greater danger.
- Be cautious when examining the Diving Helmet at the Lifeboat, as it drains sanity.
