Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission. Find all key evidence, complete optional objectives, and learn about key characters.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase containing the Letter from J. van der Berg), the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun before firing.
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (Photo of a trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk (Flyer).
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be reset and looted repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 4Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle) to speak with Johannes van der Berg. Key dialogue options to advance the game are 'About my problem,' 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?,' 'I need somewhere to stay,' 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?,' and 'Goodbye.' Choosing 'I need somewhere to stay' locks out other dialogue branches.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Climb the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue options to advance the game are 'What happened to your son?,' 'Who are the Innsmouthers?,' 'What do you know about the visions?,' 'I can try to find Albert,' 'Tell me more about the case,' and 'I'll be going.'
- 6Optional: Titania Lifeboat (Robert's Request): To access this optional investigation, return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 7Evidence at Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name ('TITANIA'), examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate; be mindful of sanity drain), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
- 8Concluding the Optional Investigation: Returning Albert's Will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an additional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use this ammo sparingly as it depletes quickly.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects reset and can be looted multiple times.
- The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and an additional conversation, but is not required for game progression.
