Complete walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's Fish Market section. Find all evidence, complete objectives, and uncover the truth.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
On the 'Charon' Ship: This is your starting investigation area. Collect your belongings from the table. This includes your Letter from J. van der Berg (from the briefcase), your Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun before firing.
  2. 2
Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to take a photo of the strange fish mounted on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Flyer).
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area. They provide ammunition and crafting materials.
  4. 4
Exit the Boat: Climb onto the dock by pressing Triangle.
  5. 5
Talk to Johannes van der Berg: After climbing onto the dock, you will automatically start a conversation. Select the following dialogue options to advance: 'About my problem.', 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?', 'I need somewhere to stay.', 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?', 'Goodbye.'. Choosing 'Goodbye.' ends the conversation permanently.
  6. 6
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the exit and go up the stairs to start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  7. 7
Talk to Robert Throgmorton: Select the following dialogue options to advance: 'What happened to your son?', 'Who are the Innsmouthers?', 'What do you know about the visions?', 'I can try to find Albert.', 'Tell me more about the case.', 'I'll be going.'. Choosing 'I'll be going.' ends the conversation permanently.
  8. 8
Optional: Lifeboat Titania: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is an optional investigation site that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton but is not required for case progression.
  9. 9
Evidence at Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name ('TITANIA'), examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate), and collect 'Albert Throgmorton's will' from a seat. Be cautious as looking at the diving helmet drains sanity.
  10. 10
Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ACP rounds. Use its initial clip wisely as ammo is scarce.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Be aware that large amounts of loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
  • Climb to higher areas using the Triangle button.
  • Optional conversations provide world-building but are not essential for game progression. Be mindful that choosing certain dialogue options can lock out other conversation branches.
Collecting all key evidence progresses the case. Completing the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation provides additional XP and an optional conversation.
