Navigate Grimhaven Bay Central in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Discover key evidence, optional investigations, and character interactions to progress through the game.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
On the "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the Pistol, examine its handle by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears and press X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun before firing.
  2. 2
Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (Photo of a trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk (Flyer).
  3. 3
Lootables: Search lockers and other lootable objects for ammunition and crafting materials. These reset when you leave and return to the area.
  4. 4
Speaking with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle) and speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Choosing these options locks out other dialogue branches.
  5. 5
Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Ascend the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  6. 6
Speaking with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going." Other dialogue options are optional.
  7. 7
Optional: Lifeboat Titania Investigation: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, return to the sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. No evidence here is required for the main casebook, but completing it grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert.
  8. 8
Evidence in Lifeboat Titania: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate; prolonged inspection drains sanity), and collect "Albert Throgmorton's will" from a seat. Climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to access some evidence.
  9. 9
Returning Albert's Will: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • The Submachine Gun (if owned via DLC) consumes bullets rapidly; save its clip for special occasions.
  • Consider putting your initial Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammo and crafting materials. Be cautious, as large amounts of loot may indicate a dangerous area.
  • The dialogue choices with NPCs are important for advancing the game and can lock out other conversation branches.
  • The Lifeboat Titania is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and lore but is not required to complete the main quest.

Completing the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation grants 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
