Complete walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission. Find all key and additional evidence, complete optional objectives, and learn about NPC interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1On the Ship: Collect your belongings from the table. This includes your Letter from J. van der Berg (by taking the briefcase), your Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Note that your gun is not loaded and requires reloading (hold L1 for weapon wheel, select gun, press Square).
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to take a picture of the trophy fish mounted on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the Flyer on the desk to the left of the table.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (Triangle). Initiate a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select the following dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Choosing other options will prevent you from hearing certain dialogue chains.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Turn right towards the exit. As you go up the stairs, you will start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Other dialogue options are optional.
- 6Optional: Investigate Lifeboat Titania: If you asked Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat will be beyond police barricades. This investigation is optional and does not add to your casebook, but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 7Evidence in Lifeboat: Inspect the lifeboat name (TITANIA). Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat. You may need to climb inside (Triangle).
- 8Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
