Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2, detailing key evidence, optional investigations, and NPC interactions to guide your progress.
Walkthrough
- 1Charon Ship Investigation: Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. Examine the Pistol by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle and pressing X. You'll receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Photograph the mounted fish with your Camera and examine the flyer on the desk.
- 3Lootables: Search lockers and other lootable objects for ammunition and crafting materials. These reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Exit the Ship: After collecting evidence, interact with your belongings.
- 5Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Climb onto the dock (Triangle). Select dialogue options to advance the game: "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye."
- 6Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. You will automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select dialogue options to advance: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going."
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use these sparingly as they deplete quickly.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
- Reload your equipped gun by holding L1, selecting the gun, and pressing Square.
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat
- Location: Return to the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path, and turn left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- Evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA," examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate; beware of sanity drain), and find Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat. Climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect some items.
- Reward: Completing this optional investigation grants an additional 140 XP and unlocks an extra conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
