Complete walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2, covering key evidence, optional items, and NPC interactions on the Charon ship and at the Titania Lifeboat.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, then press X to examine it. You'll receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  2. 2
Optional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to take a picture of the trophy fish mounted on the wall (Additional Evidence). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Additional Evidence).
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
  4. 4
Exit the Ship: After collecting key evidence, climb onto the dock by pressing Triangle.
  5. 5
Johannes van der Berg: Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Optional dialogue branches will be lost after saying goodbye.
  6. 6
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. Go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  7. 7
Robert Throgmorton Conversation: To advance, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going." Optional questions can be asked before selecting "I'll be going."
  8. 8
Optional: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
  9. 9
Evidence at Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA." Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Find Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect some evidence. Be cautious, as looking at the diving helmet for too long will drain your sanity.
  10. 10
Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This gun consumes ammo quickly; save the initial clip.
  • Consider putting a free Skill Point (if received via DLC) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be searched repeatedly and reset by leaving and returning to the area.
  • The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
Collecting all key evidence on the ship grants an additional 140 XP. Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation also grants 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
