Explore the Urban Ruin in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Discover key locations, hidden items, and essential tips to navigate this challenging area.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings on the table (briefcase, Letter from J. van der Berg), Camera, and Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears and press X. You'll receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Additional Evidence on the Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (Photo of a trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk (Flyer). Lootable objects like lockers can be found and reset for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 3Exiting the Ship: After collecting evidence, climb onto the dock using Triangle. You will automatically start a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. Choose dialogue options to progress: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye."
- 4Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the "exit" and go up the stairs to meet Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue options to advance the game include: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going."
- 5Optional: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign and go left down a path, then left towards the sea. Find the lifeboat beyond police barricades. Collect additional evidence: the 'TITANIA' nameplate, the Diving Helmet (rotate and examine the front faceplate; beware of sanity drain), and Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Climbing inside the lifeboat may be necessary.
- 6Returning the Will: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds are provided with the Necronomicon Edition or DLC. Use these sparingly as they consume ammo quickly.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a symbol) can be repeatedly looted for ammo and crafting materials after they reset.
- Be cautious when examining the Diving Helmet in the Titania Lifeboat, as it drains sanity.
- Optional conversations with NPCs provide lore but do not affect game progression.
