- 1On the "Charon" Ship: Collect your belongings (briefcase, camera, pistol). Examine the pistol by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle and press X.

- 8Speak with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle). Engage in conversation, choosing options to learn about your situation and find accommodation. Key dialogue includes "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye."
- 9Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Speak with Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue includes "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going."
- 10Optional: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. Inspect the lifeboat.
- Evidence: "TITANIA" (inspect name), Diving Helmet (rotate and search front faceplate), Albert Throgmorton's will (on a seat).
- 11Note: The diving helmet can drain sanity if held too long.
- 12Finding the will unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
