Navigate Oldgrove South in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Discover key locations, essential items, and crucial objectives to progress through this challenging area.
Walkthrough
- 1On the "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect all evidence before leaving.
- 2Key Evidence: Your belongings (briefcase, Letter from J. van der Berg, Camera, Pistol). Examine the pistol by rotating it until an "eyeball" symbol appears and press X. You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Additional Evidence: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish trophy. Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 4Lootables: A locker to the right of the desk can be repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 5Exiting the Ship: Climb onto the dock using Triangle.
- 6Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: Select dialogue options to advance the conversation: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Choosing "I need somewhere to stay" locks out some optional dialogue.
- 7Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier, then turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. Go up the stairs to initiate a conversation.
- 8Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: Select dialogue options to advance: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Asking about the lifeboat location is optional and only available once.
- 9Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign, go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 10Additional Evidence (Lifeboat): Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the faceplate, do not hold for too long due to sanity drain), and find "Albert Throgmorton's will" on a seat. Climb inside the lifeboat using Triangle to collect evidence.
- 11Reward: Finding the will unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton and grants 140 XP.
Tips

- Consider putting your starting Skill Point into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be reset by leaving and returning to the area, allowing for repeated collection of ammo and materials.
- Be cautious with lootable containers that contain a large amount of items, as they may indicate an upcoming dangerous encounter.
- The Lifeboat Titania investigation is optional but rewards XP and an extra conversation.
