Navigate the Coverside East district in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive walkthrough. Discover key evidence, optional objectives, and essential tips to progress.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
On the "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. You must reload your gun by holding L1 and selecting it, then pressing Square.
  2. 2
Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the trophy plate (a strange fish on the wall). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
  3. 3
Lootables on Ship: A locker to the right of the desk can be looted repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized.
  4. 4
Exit the Ship: After collecting your belongings, you can exit by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock.
  5. 5
Speak with Johannes van der Berg: On the dock, you'll speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Choosing other dialogue options will lock you out of further conversation chains.
  6. 6
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the bar and exit. Go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  7. 7
Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and finally "I'll be going." Other dialogue branches are optional.
  8. 8
Optional: Lifeboat Titania Investigation: Return to the sign with directions. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
  9. 9
Evidence at Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA." Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Find Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat inside the lifeboat (press Triangle to climb inside). Be aware that looking at the diving helmet will drain your sanity.
  10. 10
Reward for Optional Investigation: Clearing the Lifeboat Titania investigation grants an extra 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
Tips
  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use this ammo sparingly as it depletes quickly.
  • Consider putting any bonus Skill Points into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be reset by leaving the area and returning, allowing for repeated collection of materials and ammo.
  • The diving helmet in the Lifeboat Titania investigation drains sanity; do not examine it for too long.

Completing the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation grants an additional 140 XP and an extra conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
