Follow our detailed walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission, covering evidence collection on the Charon ship and the optional Titania Lifeboat.
Walkthrough
- 1On the Charon ship, collect your belongings (briefcase containing a Letter from J. van der Berg), the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle until an eyeball symbol appears and press X. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Use the Camera to take a photo of the trophy plate (a strange fish on the wall).
- 3Examine the Flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 4Exit the boat by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock.
- 5Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To progress, select: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye."
- 6Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the stairs.
- 7Speak with Robert Throgmorton. To progress, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going."
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat
- Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea.
- The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA".
- Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to find an inspectable front faceplate. Be quick, as looking at it drains sanity.
- Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat. You may need to climb inside using Triangle.
- Return to Robert Throgmorton to give him the will for an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun and x30 .45 ABP rounds are included with the Necronomicon Edition or associated DLC. Use its initial clip sparingly as .45 ABP rounds are scarce early on.
- Consider investing the free Skill Point (if DLC is owned) into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Their contents reset if you leave and return to the area. Larger amounts of loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
- Press L1 to bring up the weapon wheel and Square to reload your equipped weapon.
