Navigate the mysteries of "District (110)" in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence, complete optional objectives, and uncover the secrets of this crucial early-game area.
Walkthrough
- 1Collect Key Evidence: Your belongings on the table are considered key evidence. This includes your Camera, Pistol (which requires examination by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle and pressing X), and the Letter from J. van der Berg (found in the briefcase). You also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Reload Your Pistol: After collecting the pistol, you must reload it by holding L1, selecting the gun from the weapon wheel, and pressing Square.
- 3Collect Additional Evidence: Use your camera to photograph the Photo of a trophy plate (a strange fish on the wall). Examine the Flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 4Lootable Objects: A locker to the right of the desk can be looted for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable objects can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 5Exit the Boat: After collecting the evidence, you can exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using Triangle.
- 6Speak with Johannes van der Berg: Upon exiting, you'll speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Choosing other options may lock you out of certain dialogue branches.
- 7Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. Stairs will lead you to Robert Throgmorton.
- 8Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.". Other dialogue options are optional.
- 9Optional: Investigate the Lifeboat Titania: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, he will give you directions. Return to the pier sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Evidence here is not required for the main casebook but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert.
- 10Collect Lifeboat Evidence (Optional): Inspect the lifeboat's name "TITANIA". Examine the Diving Helmet (rotate it and search the front faceplate; be aware of sanity drain). Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat.
- 11Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo rapidly; save its initial clip for important moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
- Be cautious when examining the Diving Helmet in the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation, as it drains sanity.
