Navigate the Oakmont Police Department in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence, complete objectives, and uncover the truth in this comprehensive walkthrough.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Key Evidence: Collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle and press X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  2. 2
Reloading: Equip your gun (hold L1, select weapon, press Square) and press Square again to reload before firing.
  3. 3
Additional Evidence: Use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
  4. 4
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
  5. 5
Casebook Tasks - Letter from J. van der Berg: Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (Triangle). Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that choosing other dialogue options may lock you out of further conversation branches.
  6. 6
Casebook Tasks - Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. Ascend the stairs to begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Other dialogue options are optional.
  7. 7
Optional Investigation - Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign, go left down a path, and turn left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is optional but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  8. 8
Optional Evidence (Lifeboat): Inspect the lifeboat name (TITANIA). Rotate the Diving Helmet and examine its front faceplate. Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Be aware that looking at the diving helmet will slowly drain your sanity.
Tips
  • DLC may provide a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds, but it consumes ammunition quickly.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into Absolute Clarity for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. More valuable loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
  • The Lifeboat Titania investigation is optional; evidence found there is not required for the main casebook but offers rewards.
  • Do not hold the diving helmet for too long to avoid excessive sanity loss.
