Follow our guide to complete the 'Deal with the Devil' main case in The Sinking City 2. We cover the Hospital of St. Mary, The Seven Oaks, Calm Shore, Blackwood Manor, and more.

Alright, let's dive into the 'Deal with the Devil' case. This is the sixth main case you'll tackle, coming after 'Nosedive' and before 'Self-Defense'. ## Hospital of St. Mary You'll start this case waking up in the Hospital of St. Mary, with Johannes van der Berg by your side. Turns out, the Seal is missing! Johannes is a bit mysterious, saying he heard about you and got curious. When you mention being underwater, he'll ask what you were doing there. You can either tell him or tell him it's none of his business. He'll also break the news about Harriet Dough – she's at the hospital too, but in the morgue. She was pulled from the Calmshore Marina. Johannes will mention the Seal again when you ask about your belongings. He's pretty cryptic about how he knows, just saying he wants you to succeed and advising you to go back to where you were found and ask the hospital staff. He'll tell you to find him at his theater later, hinting he might answer your questions then. Down in the morgue, Harriet's body is on a table. The coroner's report says she drowned because her diver's suit was ruined. If you ask the doctor, Doctor Grant, about the stranger who saved you, he'll mention a regular named Billy Drunnon. The doctor gives you your stuff back but hasn't seen anything like the Seal. However, checking the hospital archive (Subjects: Patients, Period: After the flood, Department: Therapy) for a document titled 'Billy Drunnon' reveals he's an alcoholic and a regular at The Seven Oaks bar. ## The Seven Oaks When you find Billy Drunnon at The Seven Oaks, he'll recognize you. After you thank him for the rescue, asking about the Seal will offend him – he'll think you're accusing him of stealing it. Smooth things over, and he'll tell you he found you on the Calm Shore and wasn't looking for anything else given your state. Before you go, Billy might ask for a drink as a thank you. You can choose to give him a bullet or refuse, especially if you remember his hospitalization history. ## Calm Shore Calm Shore is way out in the south-west corner of Salvation Harbor. Head to the beach, and you'll be attacked by some wylebeasts. You'll find a dead man on the sand, his face gone. Using your Mind's Eye, you'll be directed to the cliff above the beach. There's a sigil there, similar to one Ebernote Blackwood used at the Orion Club to summon monsters. Follow a blood trail to another corpse. Nearby, you can use Mind's Eye on a knife. This will show Ebernote stabbing the victim. Further down the beach, you'll find a diving suit. Another Mind's Eye vision here will show Ebernote standing over your unconscious body, holding the Seal. He's thrilled to have found it and heads back to his manor. There's a rock near the diving suit with scratch marks. Using Mind's Eye on it reveals what happened: 1. The Yellow Kings, including Drunnon, find Ebernote kneeling by your body. 2. The Kings grab you, knowing you're the Chosen, and leave. 3. Ebernote summons wylebeasts to try and stop them. If you go back to The Seven Oaks to talk to Billy, you'll only find a note he left with a strange sign. The bartender will mention that Drunnon was just there, scribbling something, and left without paying. You can then ask the bartender about the location of Blackwood Manor. He'll tell you it's been empty since the Blackwoods left and is located on top of a cliff in Grimhaven Bay, on Wharf Street. ## Blackwood Manor When you get to Blackwood Manor, make sure you're well-armed. You'll be greeted by sigils summoning a lot of wylebeasts. The main entrance is boarded up, but if you go around, you'll find some bodies. The back door is walled off, but you can get through the illusion using Mind's Eye. On the ground floor, there's a locked door with the Esoteric Order of Dagon's eye symbol on it. Mind's Eye will lead you to the basement. The basement has two floors. On the first, an Acheronian will spawn from a large sigil. The key you need is on the second floor, which looks like a ritual space. You'll find a Ritual log and a key on the altar. The log details Ebernote's failed attempts to extract the 'dreamers seed' and mentions another 'Chosen'. Near a sigil on the wall, Mind's Eye will reveal a dirt floor with many graves, one of which is recently filled. After a retrocognition sequence, you'll learn Ebernote was attempting a ritual that failed, leading him to believe he needed a stronger focus from Cthygonnaar. With the key, you can now enter the locked door. Behind it is a painting of a fish-like woman and a postcard titled 'Come unto the sea!'
