Complete walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' mission in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence on the Charon ship and discover optional clues at the Titania Lifeboat.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
On the Charon Ship: Collect your belongings from the table. This includes your Letter from J. van der Berg (from the briefcase), your Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears and pressing X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Note that your gun is not loaded and must be reloaded (hold L1, select gun, press Square).
  2. 2
Optional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Flyer). Search the locker to the right of the desk for random loot.
  3. 3
Speak with Johannes van der Berg: Exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (Triangle). Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To progress, select: "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" and "Goodbye."
  4. 4
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the bar/exit. As you ascend the stairs, you will begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  5. 5
Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To progress, select: "What happened to your son?" "Who are the Innsmouthers?" "What do you know about the visions?" "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going."
  6. 6
Optional: Investigate Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign with directions. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
  7. 7
Evidence at Lifeboat: Inspect the lifeboat name (TITANIA). Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to find a faceplate to search. Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Note that prolonged examination of the diving helmet will drain sanity.
  8. 8
Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ACP rounds. Use this ammo sparingly as it depletes quickly.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into Absolute Clarity for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (marked with a symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
  • The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton if completed.
