Learn how to complete the Coroner's Report in The Sinking City 2. This guide covers all evidence locations, objectives, and tips for this early-game investigation.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The 'Charon' Ship: This is your starting location and the first investigation site. You must collect evidence here before you can leave.
  2. 2
    Key Evidence:
    • Your Belongings: Found on the table in front of you. You must take these to proceed.
  3. 3
Letter from J. van der Berg: Obtained by taking your briefcase.
  4. 4
Camera: A usable item to take pictures for evidence.
  5. 5
Pistol: Pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, then press X to examine. You'll also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your weapon by holding L1, selecting the gun, and pressing Square.
  6. 6
    Additional Evidence:
    • Photo of a trophy plate: Use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall.
  7. 7
Flyer: Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
  8. 8
Lootables: Look for the loot symbol to find containers with ammunition and crafting materials. These reset when you leave and return to the area. A locker is located to the right of the desk.
  9. 9
Casebook Tasks: After collecting the evidence, you will have tasks to talk to Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton. Follow the prompts to advance the conversation and the game.
Tips
  • If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you'll receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use the initial clip sparingly as ammo is scarce early on.
  • Consider putting a free Skill Point (if obtained via DLC) into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • When talking to NPCs, select dialogue options that advance the main quest. Optional dialogue branches are lost once you choose to move on.
  • The Lifeboat Titania is an optional investigation site that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton if you find Albert Throgmorton's will.
Collecting all evidence on the ship grants an additional 140 XP. Completing the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation also grants 140 XP.
