This guide covers the OLDGROVE (Oldgrove North) (3) section of The Sinking City 2, detailing key evidence, optional objectives, and important conversations.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
On the "Charon" Ship: Collect key evidence: your belongings on the table, the Letter from J. van der Berg (found in the briefcase), the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  2. 2
Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to take a photo of the strange fish mounted on the wall. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table.
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
  4. 4
Exit the Boat: Climb onto the dock by pressing Triangle.
  5. 5
Talk to Johannes van der Berg: Select the following dialogue options to advance: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that choosing "I need somewhere to stay" locks out other dialogue branches.
  6. 6
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the bar and exit.
  7. 7
Talk to Robert Throgmorton: Select the following dialogue options to advance: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Other optional questions can be asked before selecting "I'll be going.".
  8. 8
Optional: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path, and turn left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
  9. 9
Evidence at Lifeboat: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate), and collect "Albert Throgmorton's will" from a seat. Be cautious as looking at the diving helmet drains sanity.
  10. 10
Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use this sparingly as ammo is scarce.
  • Consider putting a free Skill Point (if applicable via DLC) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. More valuable loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
  • The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation site that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton, but is not required for case progression.
  • Collecting all key evidence on the ship grants an additional 140 XP.
  • Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation grants an additional 140 XP.
