Navigate Salvation Harbor in The Sinking City 2. This guide covers key evidence, optional investigations like the Titania Lifeboat, and crucial conversations with Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton.
Walkthrough
- 1On the ship, collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg (from the briefcase), the Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Use the camera to take a picture of the mounted fish on the wall (Additional Evidence).
- 3Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table (Additional Evidence).
- 4Loot the locker to the right of the desk.
- 5Exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (Triangle).
- 6Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To progress, select: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Note that choosing "I need somewhere to stay." locks out other dialogue options.
- 7Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the "exit".
- 8Climb the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To progress, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.". Asking about his looks is not an insult.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo quickly; save the initial clip for important moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into Absolute Clarity for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Their contents reset when you leave and return to the area. More valuable loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
- Reload your pistol by equipping it and pressing Square.
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat
- Return to the sign that pointed to the exit.
- Go left down a path, then turn left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- Inspect the lifeboat's name: TITANIA.
- Examine the Diving Helmet. Rotate it and search the front faceplate. Be aware that looking at the helmet drains sanity; don't hold it for too long.
- Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the lifeboat seats. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
- Returning Albert's will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an additional conversation.
