Navigate The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission. Find key evidence on the Charon ship, interact with NPCs like Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton, and discover optional objectives like the Titania Lifeboat.
Walkthrough
- 1Charon Ship Investigation: The ship serves as your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You'll receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun by holding L1, selecting it from the weapon wheel, and pressing Square.
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (Photo of a trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk (Flyer).
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area. They provide ammunition and crafting materials.
- 4Leaving the Ship: After collecting key evidence, climb onto the dock by pressing Triangle.
- 5Johannes van der Berg Conversation: Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To progress, select: "About my problem." -> "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" -> "I need somewhere to stay." -> "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" -> "Goodbye." Note that selecting "I need somewhere to stay" locks out other dialogue options.
- 6Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Turn right and go up the stairs to find Robert Throgmorton.
- 7Robert Throgmorton Conversation: To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?" -> "Who are the Innsmouthers?" -> "What do you know about the visions?" -> "I can try to find Albert." -> "Tell me more about the case." -> "I'll be going." Other dialogue options are optional.
- 8Optional: Titania Lifeboat Investigation: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, return to the sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. Find the lifeboat beyond police barricades. Collect additional evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name (TITANIA), rotate and examine the front faceplate of the Diving Helmet, and pick up Albert Throgmorton's will. Climbing inside the lifeboat (Triangle) is necessary for some items. Be aware that looking at the Diving Helmet drains sanity.
- 9Returning Albert's Will: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips

- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammo and crafting materials.
- The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Do not hold the Diving Helmet for too long, as it drains your sanity.
