Navigate Reed Heights South in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive walkthrough. Find key evidence, complete objectives, and uncover all secrets in this crucial area.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Collect Your Belongings: On the "Charon" ship, your first key evidence is your belongings on the table. This includes a Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase), a Camera (usable for taking photos as evidence), and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (L1 for weapon wheel, Square to reload) before firing.
  2. 2
Additional Evidence on Ship: Take a picture of the mounted fish on the wall using your camera (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Flyer).
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects provide ammunition and crafting materials and reset when you leave and return to the area.
  4. 4
Speak with Johannes van der Berg: Exit the boat by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock. Engage in conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select: "About my problem." -> "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" -> "I need somewhere to stay." -> "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" -> "Goodbye." Note that choosing specific dialogue options will lock out others.
  5. 5
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Go up the stairs to begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  6. 6
Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?" -> "Who are the Innsmouthers?" -> "What do you know about the visions?" -> "I can try to find Albert." -> "Tell me more about the case." -> "I'll be going." Similar to the previous conversation, certain choices affect available dialogue.

Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat

  1. Locate the Lifeboat: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat will be beyond police barricades.
  2. Collect Evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name (TITANIA). Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate (be mindful of sanity drain). Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat. You may need to press Triangle to climb inside.
  3. Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ACP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo quickly; save its initial clip for important moments.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
  • The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but rewards 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  • Looking at the diving helmet in the lifeboat drains sanity; do not hold it for too long.
Completing the main objectives in Reed Heights South progresses the story. The optional Titania Lifeboat investigation provides bonus XP and further dialogue with Robert Throgmorton. Additional XP is awarded for collecting all evidence in a location. If you bought the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you start with a Submachine Gun and ammo. A Skill Point may also be awarded.
