Navigate Reed Heights South in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive walkthrough. Find key evidence, complete objectives, and uncover all secrets in this crucial area.
Walkthrough
- 1Collect Your Belongings: On the "Charon" ship, your first key evidence is your belongings on the table. This includes a Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase), a Camera (usable for taking photos as evidence), and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (L1 for weapon wheel, Square to reload) before firing.
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Take a picture of the mounted fish on the wall using your camera (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Flyer).
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects provide ammunition and crafting materials and reset when you leave and return to the area.
- 4Speak with Johannes van der Berg: Exit the boat by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock. Engage in conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select: "About my problem." -> "Where is Robert Throgmorton?" -> "I need somewhere to stay." -> "How do I get to Devil's Reef?" -> "Goodbye." Note that choosing specific dialogue options will lock out others.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Go up the stairs to begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 6Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?" -> "Who are the Innsmouthers?" -> "What do you know about the visions?" -> "I can try to find Albert." -> "Tell me more about the case." -> "I'll be going." Similar to the previous conversation, certain choices affect available dialogue.
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat
- Locate the Lifeboat: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat will be beyond police barricades.
- Collect Evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name (TITANIA). Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate (be mindful of sanity drain). Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat. You may need to press Triangle to climb inside.
- Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ACP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo quickly; save its initial clip for important moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
- The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but rewards 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Looking at the diving helmet in the lifeboat drains sanity; do not hold it for too long.
