Walkthrough

    Upon arriving in the city, you will start on the 'Charon' ship. This is your first investigation location.

    Collect your belongings from the table. This includes a Letter from J. van der Berg, a Camera, and a Pistol.

    To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.

    Reload your gun by equipping it and pressing Square.

    Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions to a bar and an exit. Turn right.

    Climb the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.

    To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.". Again, these choices lock out other dialogue.

    Optional: Ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat's location. He will provide directions but will not mark it on the map.

    Optional Investigation - Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign with directions. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.

    Optional Evidence in Lifeboat Titania: Inspect the Lifeboat Name 'TITANIA', examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Be cautious as looking at the diving helmet drains sanity.

    Return to Robert Throgmorton with Albert's Will to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • The Submachine Gun (if obtained via DLC) uses bullets very quickly; save its initial clip for important moments.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into Absolute Clarity (Mind skill) for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be repeatedly looted after resetting the area.
  • Be mindful of the diving helmet in the Titania Lifeboat; prolonged inspection drains sanity.
