Navigate the 'A Frosty Welcome' quest in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence on the 'Charon' ship, interact with NPCs, and uncover optional objectives like the Titania Lifeboat.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon boarding the 'Charon' ship, your first objective is to collect your belongings from the table. This includes your Camera and a Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase).
  2. 2
Examine your Pistol: pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your weapon before use.
  3. 3
For additional evidence on the ship, take a picture of the mounted fish with your Camera and examine the Flyer on the desk.
  4. 4
Lootable containers, marked with a specific symbol, can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
  5. 5
Exit the ship and climb onto the dock (press Triangle). Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select dialogue options related to your problem, finding Robert Throgmorton, needing a place to stay, Devil's Reef, and finally, say goodbye. Be aware that choosing certain dialogue options will lock out others.
  6. 6
Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the stairs to meet Robert Throgmorton.
  7. 7
During your conversation with Robert Throgmorton, select dialogue options to learn about his son's condition, the Innsmouthers, the visions, finding Albert, and his request. The option 'I'll be going.' will end the conversation.

Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat

  1. To start this optional task, return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
  2. Inspect the Lifeboat Name ('TITANIA').
  3. Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Be mindful that prolonged examination drains sanity.
  4. Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat. You may need to climb inside (press Triangle).
  5. Returning Albert's will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an additional conversation.
Tips
  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or its DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ACP rounds. Use this weapon sparingly as it consumes ammo quickly.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus, aiding in faster progression.
  • Lootable containers can be reset by leaving and returning to the area, allowing for repeated scavenging of materials and ammo. Be cautious, as abundant loot may indicate nearby dangers.
  • Collecting all key evidence on the 'Charon' ship grants an additional 140 XP.
  • Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation provides an extra 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
