Follow our detailed walkthrough for The Sinking City's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission, covering key evidence, optional objectives, and character interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1On the "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation area. Collect the following key evidence:
- Your belongings on the table (required to leave).
- 2Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase).
- 3Camera (a usable item for taking pictures as evidence).
- 4Pistol (pick it up, rotate until the eyeball symbol appears on the handle, then press X to examine. You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds).
- 5Photo of a trophy plate (use your camera on the fish mounted on the wall).
- 6Flyer (examine the flyer on the desk).
- 7Exit the Ship and Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Climb onto the dock by pressing Triangle. You'll automatically start a conversation. Select dialogue options to advance the game, such as "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Note that choosing certain options locks out others.
- 8Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Turn right and go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select dialogue options to advance, such as "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and finally "I'll be going."
- 9Optional: Titania Lifeboat (Robert's Request): Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Collect the following optional evidence:
- Inspect the TITANIA Lifeboat Name.
- 10Examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate; be mindful of sanity drain).
- 11Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats.
- 12Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert to unlock an optional conversation.
