Complete walkthrough for 'Silence Is Golden' in The Sinking City 2. Find all evidence, complete objectives, and uncover the mysteries of Oakmont.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin by examining your belongings on the table in front of you. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and your Pistol.
- 2To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Reload your gun by equipping it via the weapon wheel (hold L1) and pressing Square.
- 4For additional evidence, use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall.
- 5Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 6Lootable objects, marked with a specific symbol, can be searched repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 7Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (Triangle).
- 8Speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Choosing these options in order progresses the conversation and game.
- 9Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit.
- 10Climb the stairs to begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and "I'll be going."
- 11To undertake the optional investigation at the Titania Lifeboat, return to the sign and go left down a path, then left towards the sea.
- 12Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA."
- 13Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Be mindful of sanity drain while examining it.
- 14Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from one of the seats inside the lifeboat.
- 15Return to Robert Throgmorton with the will to unlock an additional conversation.
Tips
- Collecting all evidence in a location before concluding a case rewards an additional 140 XP.
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or associated DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ACP rounds. Use this weapon sparingly due to its high ammo consumption.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects reset when you leave and return to an area, allowing for repeated looting of materials and ammo.
- The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and an additional conversation, but is not required for case progression.
