    On the 'Charon' ship, collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg (from the briefcase), your Camera, and your Pistol.

    To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Your gun is not loaded and must be reloaded before firing.

    Optionally, use your camera to take a picture of the mounted fish (Photo of a trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk (Flyer).

    Loot the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.

    Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (press Triangle).

    Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Choosing "Goodbye" ends all conversation branches.

    Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit.

    Climb the stairs to speak with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and finally "I'll be going."

    Optional: Titania Lifeboat Investigation: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.

    Inside the lifeboat, inspect the TITANIA name, rotate and examine the Diving Helmet (be mindful of sanity drain), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. You may need to press Triangle to climb inside.

    Returning Albert's will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an optional conversation.

  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo rapidly.
