Master 'Lost At Sea' in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence like the Letter from J. van der Berg and the Camera. Learn about optional investigations and character interactions.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Collect Key Evidence: Your belongings on the table are crucial. Picking up the briefcase yields the Letter from J. van der Berg. The Camera is a usable item for taking pictures. To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (equip via L1 weapon wheel, then press Square).
  2. 2
Collect Additional Evidence: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Flyer).
  3. 3
Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
  4. 4
Exit the Boat: After collecting key evidence, climb onto the dock by pressing Triangle.
  5. 5
Talk to Johannes van der Berg: You will automatically start a conversation. Key dialogue options to advance are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye.". Note that selecting "Goodbye" ends the conversation permanently.
  6. 6
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the "exit" and go up the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue options to advance are: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.".
Tips
  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ACP rounds. Use these sparingly as they deplete quickly.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into Absolute Clarity for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects can be searched repeatedly and will reset after leaving and returning to the area. Be cautious, as large amounts of loot may indicate an upcoming dangerous encounter.

Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat

  1. Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat will be beyond police barricades.
  2. Collect Additional Evidence: Inspect the lifeboat name (TITANIA). Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Pick up Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. You may need to climb into the lifeboat (Triangle) to reach some items. Be aware that prolonged examination of the diving helmet can drain sanity.
  3. Finding Albert's Will allows for an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton upon returning it.
