Learn essential self-defense techniques in The Sinking City 2. This guide covers combat basics, weapon handling, and survival strategies to help you overcome any threat in the dark, mysterious city.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon arriving on the "Charon" ship, your first objective is to collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and your Pistol.
- 2To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Your pistol is not loaded by default. To reload, equip the gun via the weapon wheel (hold L1) and press Square.
- 4For additional evidence on the ship, use your camera to take a photo of the strange fish mounted on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate).
- 5Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table (Flyer).
- 6A lootable locker is located to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 7After leaving the ship, proceed north along the pier. Turn right at the sign pointing to the bar and exit.
- 8Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 9Optional: To investigate the Titania Lifeboat, return to the pier sign, go left down a path, and then left towards the sea.
- 10Inside the lifeboat, inspect the "TITANIA" name, examine the Diving Helmet (be mindful of sanity drain), and collect "Albert Throgmorton's will" from a seat.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ACP rounds. Use this sparingly as ammo is scarce.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be reset by leaving and returning to the area, allowing for repeated collection of ammo and crafting materials.
- Be cautious with lootable containers; a large amount of supplies may indicate a dangerous area ahead.
- Conversations with NPCs like Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton offer world-building but are not essential for game progression, though some dialogue choices can lock out other branches.
- The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that rewards extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton upon returning his son's will.
