Walkthrough
- 1Begin by collecting your belongings on the table, which includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, your Camera, and your Pistol.
- 2To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun before firing.
- 3Use your camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall for additional evidence.
- 4Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table for more additional evidence.
- 5Loot the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable objects can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 6Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using Triangle.
- 7Engage in a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. Key dialogue options to advance are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye.". Be aware that selecting certain options will close off other dialogue branches.
- 8Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit.
- 9Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue options to advance are: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.".
- 10(Optional) To investigate the Titania Lifeboat, return to the sign, go left down a path, and then left towards the sea. Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA", rotate and search the Diving Helmet (be mindful of sanity drain), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat.
- 11(Optional) Return to Robert Throgmorton and give him his son's will to unlock an additional conversation.
Tips

- Do not hold the diving helmet for too long during the optional investigation, as it will drain your sanity.
- Collecting all key evidence on the ship grants an additional 140 XP.
- Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation grants an additional 140 XP.
- Unlocking the additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton after returning Albert's will.
