Complete walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence on the Charon ship and explore the optional Titania Lifeboat for extra rewards and lore.
Walkthrough
- 1Charon Ship: Collect key evidence: your belongings in a briefcase, a Camera, and a Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, then press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. You must reload your gun before firing (hold L1 for weapon wheel, select gun, press Square to reload).
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Exit the ship by climbing the dock (Triangle). Initiate a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that choosing specific dialogue options will lock out others.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the bar/exit. Ascend the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Other dialogue branches are optional.
- 6Optional: Titania Lifeboat (Robert's Request): Return to the sign with directions. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Collect additional evidence: inspect the Lifeboat Name 'TITANIA', examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate; do not hold for too long as sanity drains), and find Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
- 7Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to give him the will, unlocking an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and x30 .45 ABP rounds. This gun consumes ammo quickly; save the initial clip.
- Consider putting a free Skill Point (if received from DLC) into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be searched repeatedly and reset after leaving and returning to the area.
- The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton, but is not required for main progression.
- Be cautious when examining the Diving Helmet in the Titania Lifeboat, as it drains sanity.
