Walkthrough
- 1Collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and your Pistol.
- 2To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Use the camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall (Additional Evidence).
- 4Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table (Additional Evidence).
- 5Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (press Triangle).
- 6Speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select dialogue options to advance the conversation: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.".
- 7Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the bar and exit.
- 8Go up the stairs to begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select dialogue options to advance: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.".
Tips
- If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use the initial clip wisely as resources are scarce.
- Consider putting your free Skill Point (if applicable) into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be reset by leaving and returning to the area, providing infinite ammunition and crafting materials.
- The Lifeboat Titania is an optional investigation site. It does not add to your casebook but rewards extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- When examining the Diving Helmet at the Titania Lifeboat, be quick as your sanity will drain.
