Navigate the mysterious "District" (61) in The Sinking City 2. Discover key locations, uncover hidden clues, and survive the unfolding horrors in this comprehensive walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin by examining your belongings on the table, including the Letter from J. van der Berg and the Camera.
- 2Collect your Pistol, ensuring to rotate it until the 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and pressing X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Use your camera to take a picture of the mounted fish on the wall for additional evidence.
- 4Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 5Loot the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Note that lootable contents are randomized and reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- 6Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using Triangle.
- 7Engage in a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. Key dialogue options to advance the game are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye.". Be aware that selecting "Goodbye" ends the conversation permanently.
- 8Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the bar and exit.
- 9Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue options to advance the game are: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.". Selecting "I'll be going." ends the conversation permanently.
- 10(Optional) To investigate the Lifeboat Titania, return to the sign, go left down a path, and turn left towards the sea. Inspect the Lifeboat Name, the Diving Helmet (rotate and examine the front faceplate), and Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat. Climbing inside the lifeboat (Triangle) is necessary for some evidence. This optional investigation provides 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun, if obtained via DLC, uses bullets quickly; save its initial clip for critical moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.
- When examining the Diving Helmet in the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation, be mindful of your sanity draining over time.
