Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found scattered across islands, floating in barrels or shipwrecks, within fort vaults, or taken by enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken. Treasure items emit a colored glint or glow, making them visible from a distance.

Carrying Treasure: A pirate can only carry one treasure item at a time. While carrying treasure, you cannot fight or use equipment. To regain full control, the treasure must be dropped. Harpoons can be used to retrieve treasure from afar. Smaller treasures can be stored in Container Chests, which hold up to 3 items and hide their glow.

Treasure Persistence: Treasure left on land remains until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water will sink after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.

Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary and collecting relevant treasure grants Emissary Grade Reputation. This bonus is applied when the treasure is claimed for the first time and placed on your ship.

Trading Companies: Each Trading Company (Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance) values specific treasure types. Representatives at every Outpost accept these treasures for Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value. They also offer Voyages to guide players to treasure.

Treasure Types: Treasures are categorized by the Trading Company they belong to. Within the main companies, they can also be Regular, Ashen, Stronghold, Skeletal, or Ghostly variants.

Gold Hoarders Treasure: This category includes Treasure Chests and Artefacts.

Treasure Chests: These are locked chests sold to the Gold Hoarders. Types include Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen (found in The Devil's Roar, worth double), Valuable, and Cursed Chests. They emit a White Glint.

Artefacts: Smaller items like trinkets, containers, and ornaments made of valuable metals and gems. They emit a Golden Glint and are found on their own, in chests, or fortress vaults.
